Lowepro Introduces Two New Series of Bags

MARKHAM, ON –

New Tasca Series sleeves provide style and protection for digital gear

Lowepro, the worldwide leading provider of protective cases and backpacks for imaging and technology products, today introduced the Tasca series – colorful sleeves for personal electronics, including ultra-compact digital cameras, MP3 players, mobile phones, smart phones, or PDAs. Whether headed to the gym or a day with friends, Tasca carries personal items in style, protecting digital accessories and sensitive LCD screens from scratches and dings with its tactile neoprene fabric. Two sizes are available in five vibrant colors, making Tasca the ideal accessory for most mobile electronics.

The Tasca series of sleeves are designed with a magnetic top closure for keeping devices secure, with a carabiner attachment that enables the carrier to attach Tasca to a bag, lanyard, belt or other clothing. The soft, stretchable neoprene fabric creates a barrier of protection while maintaining a slim design relieving any protection concerns when tossing gear into a backpack or purse. Available in attractive colors such as Black, Arctic Blue, Red, Fern, and Pink, consumers can match Tasca to their personal style, a set of luggage, or the latest colors of MP3 players and other mobile electronics.

“The Tasca series of compact sleeves is equally suited to a day on campus, working out, or a night of fun with friends or family,” said Nicole Mummenhoff, senior vice president of global branding at Lowepro. “Tasca consists of sturdy, versatile materials and offers excellent protection for smaller digital items, like mobile phones, ultra-compact cameras and MP3 players, which often go unprotected in regular bags and backpacks. The Tasca line will accommodate these items without sacrificing a fun sense of style.”

Available mid-April 2008

New Spectrum Series provides complete protection for point-and-shoot cameras

Lowepro also unveiled the Spectrum series -- a new line of compact camera pouches specifically designed for today’s digital point-and-shoot photographers. Spectrum features a single main compartment with a padded lining of brushed-tricot material to protect camera displays from abrasion. A zippered accessories compartment with an interior mesh pocket ensures safe storage and easy access to extra memory cards, while the water resistant fabric and reversed zippers prevent damage from moisture. Available in five color schemes and three sizes, Spectrum is a durable, colorful, and affordable carrying option, ideal for everyday use.

“There are so many everyday moments when people wish they had their camera. Whether for a special event, a walk in the park, or an afternoon at home, Spectrum allows consumers to safely and comfortably carry their point-and- shoot cameras wherever they go,” said Nicole Mummenhoff, senior vice president of global branding at Lowepro. “The latest pouch in the Lowepro family, Spectrum demonstrates our ongoing commitment to creating products with intuitive design and total protection for the consumer photographer.”

Spectrum is available in three sizes: Spectrum 10, 30, and 50. Each is designed to provide a secure fit for the varying sizes of today’s ultra-compact digital cameras. Making the line as comfortable and accessible as possible, Spectrum features a belt loop on the back of the pouch, an adjustable and removable shoulder strap and webbed no-slip zipper pulls for quick access.
